'I was in awe when I was training with him': CD Lugo goalkeeper Alberto Varo praises Ter Stegen

Alberto Varo worked with Ter Stegen in Catalonia.
The CD Lugo goalkeeper has revealed that he was in awe of the Barca guardian.
He also praised the German's completeness.

CD Lugo goalkeeper Alberto Varo, who was privileged to train alongside Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Barcelona, has revealed that he was in awe of the German international.

He was quoted by Marca: "I was lucky enough to work alongside Ter Stegen.

"I was in awe of him when I was training with him.

"I'd say him because of how he is; he's very complete and has everything.

"In addition, he's super young."

Varo represented Barca B on loan for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons where he had the opportunity to train with ter Stegen.

The German goalkeeper continues to impress between the sticks in Catalonia. He's made 34 appearances for the Blaugrana across all fronts so far this season.

Barca are working to extend his contract, although the two parties are still far from reaching an agreement.
