United ready to hand Sancho no.7 shirt as act of 'royal introduction'

United are reportedly confident of signing him even though the coronavirus outbreak has slowed the process down.

They are ready to promise the #7 shirt as leverage to bring him to Old Trafford.

The jersey’s former holders have all failed to live up to its reputation.

Man United are pulling out all the stops to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund next season and are ready to go the extra mile to convince him to join them next season.

According to Evening Standard, the Red Devils are ready to hand the 20-year-old their prestigious number seven shirt upon arriving at the Theatre of Dreams. Considering that he currently wears the same number at Dortmund, he'd love to wear it at a club like United as well.

The iconic shirt is the highest honour for a player at United, with legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and George Best all having produced magic with it.

Evening Standard also reported how United are still leading the race to sign Sancho next season and the Red Devils are ready to break their club-record fee to get the deal done.

The Englishman has had a terrific season with Dortmund, scoring 14 and assisting 15 goals in just 23 appearances with his insane consistency convincing United to go all the way into finding their next great #7.
