Lionel Messi names four Liverpool players in his collection of the top 25 talents in the Champions League
Barcelona captain Lionel Messi
designed a set of Champions League trading cards for 2020 alongside
Topps in which he ranked the 25 top talents in the European tournament
at the moment.
The list was dominated by Premier League superstars. Liverpool had the highest number of representatives.
Messi named four Reds' superstars: Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Alission Becker.
On Van Dijk, the Argentine said: "He is a very tough opponent, one of the best in the world”.
He applauded Alisson's composure: "He is very calm. He seems to have more time than most goalkeepers."
Salah's style caught Messi's attention. The Argentine said: "He has been amazing for Liverpool FC. I like his style.”
He also hailed Mane's versatility saying: "He is like a midfielder, winger, striker. He is everywhere."
The list featured other superstars such as Eden Hazard, Robert Lewandowski, and Philippe Coutinho.
Messi is currently spending time in isolation as the coronavirus pandemic continues to sideline football in Europe
