Unnamed agent explains why Jadon Sancho won't join Chelsea or Liverpool this summer

  • Sancho has been repeatedly linked with moves to English clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United.
  • However, an unnamed agent claims that the teenager might not be moving to the Premier League.
  • 'They aren't going crazy anymore,' says the agent, pointing out that the Blues haven't spent massive amounts on players recently.
  • He also believes Liverpool don't need Sancho and are not in the market for £100m players.

Reports claiming that Jadon Sancho could be on his way to an English club like Chelsea, Man United or Liverpool in the summer have been flooding the press of late, but an unnamed agent has poured cold water on those speculations.
The agent, who is understood to have previously dealt with Jurgen Klopp, believes Chelsea are unlikely to break their transfer record to sign a single player, given that the focus in the summer will be on repairing the squad to cover for the potential departures of Willian and Pedro.
“Chelsea will lose Pedro and Willian for nothing when the season ends. Roman Abramovich is more about patching the squad up now than breaking transfer records," said the agent, as quoted by the South China Morning Post.
“They let Morata go and brought Tammy Abraham back on loan. They took Higuain on loan. They’re not going crazy any more.
“Liverpool are not in the market for £100 million players and they don’t need him.
“I’ve dealt with Klopp – they’d rather pay half that amount for a player a step or two behind Sancho who they think they can improve.”
The agent, whosoever it might be, does speak sense, given that Chelsea haven't really splashed the cash in recent times as they did so ruthlessly in the earlier years of the Roman Abramovich era.
Dortmund are likely to demand a massive fee for the 20-year-old, meaning that any potential suitor would need to shatter their record transfer fee to sign the England international.
Do you miss the times when Chelsea simply blew everyone out of the market?
