Barca's former scout Braida hails Lautaro Martinez ahead of potential summer move
The Argentine is tipped to become Luis Suarez's successor.
Barcelona have reportedly offered a five-year deal to the 22-year-old.
Barca's former scout and sporting director Ariedo Braida says Lautaro would be a perfect fit for the Catalans.
Speaking to Il Giornale, Barcelona's former scout and sporting director Ariedo Braida praised Barca's reported target, Lautaro Martinez, after watching him from the stands.
"Barcelona are looking for a striker and want Lautaro Martinez and he would be perfect. This year he has had incredible growth. I have seen him play two or three times at San Siro and he impressed me," the Italian claimed.
Barca seem to be determined to secure the deal in the summer. According to Nicolo Schira, the 22-year-old has already been offered a €7m contract with the Catalan giants.
Even Leo Messi has recently lavished praise on his teammate at Argentina: "Lautaro and [Luis] Suarez share the same qualities. I wish he could come, like Neymar, to fight for all the trophies," he said to Mundo Deportivo.
Lautaro is indeed seen as Luis Suarez's future successor. The young forward has scored a staggering number of 16 goals in 30 appearances for Inter this season.
