Bruno Fernandes nominated for BBC Sport's signing of the season award despite only joining in January

Bruno Fernandes has been nominated for the BBC Sport's signing of the season award despite only moving to Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in January.

The Portuguese has wasted no time establishing himself as a key player at Old Trafford, scoring two goals and providing three assists in his first five Premier League games for the Red Devils.

Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Dean Henderson (on loan at Sheffield United) have been shortlisted for the award as well, highlighting the change in Man United's transfer fortunes compared to the last few years.

As for other categories, not a single United player is up for the player of the season award although Marcus Rashford is shortlisted among the best young players of the campaign.

Fred has been nominated in the 'surprise package of the season' category while Anthony Martial's strike against Watford on February 23 is up for the goal of the season.
