'I would keep asking myself why I signed for Barcelona': Ex-Barca Petit compares Coutinho's situation to his own

Both Coutinho and Petit had brief and largely unsuccessful spells at the Camp Nou.
The ex-Arsenal man believes the Brazilian regrets leaving Liverpool back in 2018.
The midfielder is unlikely to rejoin the Catalans after his loan to Bayern expires.
Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit who also had a brief spell at Barcelona questions Philippe Coutinho's decision to join Barcelona back in 2018.

"If I was Coutinho, I would wake up every morning and think to myself, 'Why did I sign with Barca?'," Petit wrote in his column for Puddy Power.
"I remember when I’d wake up, when I was at Barca, when I left Arsenal, and I was thinking the same way, 'Why did I leave?'"
At the moment, the 28-year-old is on loan at Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga outfit have the option to make his move permanent this summer but reports suggest they are unlikely to do so.

The Catalans still plan to offload the attacking midfielder to get at least some money back of what they paid for him. However, it isn't completely ruled out that Coutinho will stay at Camp Nou. Everything depends on whether Barca will receive a good offer for the player.

As a reminder, Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018. He cost the club €145million. Unfortunately, the Brazilian wasn't used properly at the Camp Nou stadium. He only managed 21 goals and 11 assists in 76 matches for the Catalan giants.
