Ramos: VAR is there to help, it'll go in Real Madrid's favour on another day
S ergio Ramos believes that Real Madrid should have been awarded two penalties in the first half of the Clasico with Barcelona.
There were two separate incidents where Raphael Varane had claims for a spot kick waved away by referee
Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez .
"We watched them back at half time and they were quite clear and they're both penalties, but there's nothing we can do now," Ramos told Movistar.
"VAR is there to help, it was bad luck.
"On another day, it will miss a foul we might commit in the penalty area.
The game eventually ended goalless at
the Camp Nou, despite Los Blancos enjoying large spells of possession in the Barcelona half.
"When you don't win a game, you don't go away happy, but to get a result here is positive," Ramos said.
"Today we saw a great Real Madrid with lots of personality in a very difficult ground to come to.
"We went out to take the ball off them, we made it very difficult for them.
"There were a few mistakes and this is the final result.
"We controlled the game quite well.
"We had more chances than them.
'It's not easy to get the ball off them, but our strategy to press them high and take the ball off them worked well."
